online geometry tutor

online geometry tutor Learning is one of the basic necessities of our life. We cannot live our lives without this basic necessity. School is the starting point through which you can step into this huge world of knowledge. Knowledge does not have any end and you will get knowledge wherever you will seek for it. One’s knowledge only lands a person to a new land. The knowledge only helps the person to learn better and also seek for me. In school we have to start our process of learning by reading different types of subjects. Each subject is very much different from the other and each has its own set of characteristics. Some subjects are interesting and thus have very good likeability among many students and some subjects seem tough for the students to cope up with. Each subject has some important role to be played in a student’s life. They help a fetcher of knowledge to earn something new and something better. Such a subject is mathematics. Many students might find the subject to be very tough and so it might scare the students to opt for the subject in the long run. But apart from all the worries and tension that the subject brings with it, it is considered as one of the important subject for each student. Mathematics has various topics in the middle school level and in the higher school. Each topic is different from the other and also important. Mathematics revolves around various important topics as of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry and so on. Let us talk a bit about geometry. Geometry is a topic which deals with various types of angles, rectangles and different shapes and forms. It is a tough part as for me and I needed the help of a teacher apart from school teaching to know the topic in a better way. Private tutoring can be a good option if you want to learn better. But today with competition and professionalism all around it is not at all possible for any private tutor to dedicate their entire timing into one subject and on one topic for a long time. The intelligent or the average students can easily grasp the topic, but it becomes tough for any of the weak students to know the topic. They cannot keep a pace with this tough world and so they lack behind. So, what can they do or how can they get help. There is another way out through which it can be possible for any weak student to get good learning. Online tutoring is the second alternative after private tutoring. Online tutoring helps the students is whatever way possible.   It is a new type of tutoring and so this helps in making students the most out of it. There are various institutes that are opening up with this service and students really like the entire concept as it is time saving, useful and direct to the point. The online tutoring facility accustoms with it various types of benefits or advantages that help any student to get drifted towards it. Now it is time that you should even get to know about the process as of how the entire thing works and also about in what ways are the advantages discussed. Online tutoring has some good advantages The first and foremost is the set of teachers that it has. It has some of the best teachers of the kind. The process of appointment for any teacher is highly tough and the end result is always the best. The teachers are expert in their subjects and have got lot of experience in the belonging subject. This is the reason why every teacher can easily help the student in many ways possible. Any type of questions can be solved by the teacher whenever they are asked. They have immense knowledge on the topic and so can deliver their best to their students. The second advantage is that the online tutoring institutes do not have any time limitation. This is considered as one of the most useful advantage for the students who are busy the entire day with various types of work and learning different things. They can attend their classes whenever they want and wherever they want. It is just the internet that you need with you. Sitting at your home at any odd time of the day can bring you closer to attend the easiest and relaxed class of your student’s life. The online tutoring facility helps you to save your time and energy. You can sit at any corner of the world and attend the classes. You do not have to reach everyday to the classes spending your time, energy and money. All these three things can be easily used in some constructive work that helps you to lead your life further. For all the weak students online tutoring can work as a boon. Here you have the option to take up classes on the single basis which is called one-on-one classes. In such classes the teacher is bound to be with one student at one point of time. No other students will be entertained that time and the focus of teaching will be towards that particular student. This brings in a kind of self confidence among the students and the student can learn well and also perform well with high grades. There are so many advantages that online tutoring provides its students who have enrolled in their services. Every service is unique and all the services are carried off by expert teachers. The teachers are so good that they first analyze the student and tries t find out the difficulties that the student face with the subject. Tutor Pace is one of the very reputed institutes that deliver the best services on online tutoring platform. The teachers are well informed and know their piece of work very well. Online Geometry Tutor a section of services said to be very good in Tutor Pace.

5 Productivity Tips for Already Busy People - Introvert Whisperer

Introvert Whisperer / 5 Productivity Tips for Already Busy People - Introvert Whisperer 5 Productivity Tips for Already Busy People Julie B June 3, 2015 Career Development No responses Go to top Being extremely busy does not mean that some things have to be left undone. These tips show you how it is possible to accomplish more in less time by preparing to deal with tasks, avoid time-wasting distractions, handle emails efficiently, manage staff and save time on meetings. 1. Divide Your Tasks Be realistic about how much you can get done in a day. Break up a big project into separate tasks when making a list of jobs to be completed, and consider if any of them can be delegated or outsourced. A good way to deal with a big workload is to decide on completing one major task in the morning, followed by three medium-sized tasks and five shorter ones. With one big task completed, you should feel a sense of achievement and find it easier to get through less time-consuming tasks. 2. Manage Your Time Make a list of tasks that you can get through quickly, such as report reading and answering emails, and allocate small chunks of time for getting these done. Space in between meetings or while waiting for an appointment can be ideal times to get odd jobs done. You will increase productivity by setting strict deadlines for each primary task that you need to complete, whether or not these already have a fixed completion date. You can manage staff with HR software. This will allow you time to spend less time on admin and more time on pro-active management. 3. Become Email Efficient Restrict the number of times you check your emails during the day by setting specific points in the day for doing this. Rather than spending time on responding first thing in the morning, try to leave this task until you have completed something on your to-do list. (Tweet this!) Set up an automatic filter that will send things like newsletters into a separate folder, so you can look at them when you have more time available. If you regularly receive queries that involve frequently asked questions, use an autoresponder to send out an instant response with a set of answers or relevant information. Keeping your responses short will save time. If you take too long to respond to emails you will have to begin each one with an apology for the delay. You can save time by answering emails with a brief message stating that the sender can expect to get a response from you within the next 48 hours. 4. Cut Down on Meetings Efficient management of meetings will help you to be more productive when you have a big project to work on. Try to keep at least one day a week entirely free from meetings, so you can focus more on what needs to be done. When possible, arrange meetings in groups, so you can go directly from one to another, and take control to ensure that each meeting stays on topic and reaches a conclusion within its allotted time. When a meeting has to be arranged outside your workplace, consider whether it is really necessary to be there in person or whether a conference call or video conference would save time and accomplish the same result. 5. Take Action to Avoid Distractions Prevent other people from distracting you with non-urgent questions or trivial chatter when you need to wall yourself off. Make sure your office door stays closed or wear headphones while you work. Even if you are not listening to anything, people are less likely to try telling you anything that is not important when they can see that you have headphones on. If you use an internal messaging system, send a ‘Do Not Disturb’ message stating when you will be available again. Stay offline when doing work that does not require use of the Internet. When you do need to be online, disable your auto-logins for the social media sites you use, or get an app that you can set to block access to your favourite social network during your hours of work. Switch off your mobile phone and turn off any device that pings when you receive a message. Keep your workspace free from clutter. You will achieve more by staying focused on one thing at a time, instead of trying to multitask. Go to top What are some of your best productivity tips? Share with us in the comments! In-Person, Online, or DIY Whats the Best Way to Learn Guitar

In-Person, Online, or DIY What’s the Best Way to Learn Guitar Sign up successful Pros: Due to the plethora of materials and teachers, you can sample many media and teaching styles easily to find what works best for you. Lessons can happen any place or time you find convenient. You can decide precisely what you would like to learn, and take as much time as is needed to master it. In most cases, DIY is the least expensive option for beginners. Cons: If you are practicing incorrectly, there’s no one to correct you. Progress can be slow due to not being motivated by a teacher and not having a set schedule. Important skill building may be missed when you are creating your own lesson plan ad-hoc. Remote Instruction Online guitar lessons via video calls provide an alternative to in person lessons, where you can communicate in real time with your teacher without leaving your home. Pros: Great for students with mobility issues or tight schedules. Assistance is available as you learn, and you progress at your own pace. The selection of teachers is not limited to those in your geographical area. Often this option is cheaper than private lessons. Cons: Internet connections and software are not always reliable. It can be quite difficult to learn guitar when your only model is a reverse image of what you’re trying to play. It may be difficult to catch subtle mistakes when your teacher is not actually there with you. Group Instruction In larger towns and cities, group lessons are sometimes offered at community  centers  or after hours in schools. Often high school or college students, or retired musicians, provide weekly lessons to a small group. Pros: Learning with others can be enjoyable, especially if you find a group which fits your age and skill level. Unlike online guitar lessons, there is a teacher on-site to help you correct mistakes. Cons: There is little personal attention. Your teacher may not catch your mistakes, leaving your skills sloppy and incomplete. There can be many distractions as it’s easy for a group to get off topic. Much of your time may be devoted to solving other people’s problems. You have little input into what you’re learning. Everyone moves at the same pace, even if you are capable of learning more quickly, or need more time. Private Lessons in-Person One-on-one learning with a skilled teacher focused on you, your interests, and your progress. Pros: Your teacher is a professional who can bring all the benefits of years of practice to you. All of their technical skills and tricks are at your disposal. You set the pace. You can choose between styles and methods, notation or  tablature, and which songs you want to play. Regular lessons and homework keep you on track and motivated to do your best. The education you receive will be complete, and will give you the skills you need to become truly talented. Cons: One-on-one lessons are generally the most expensive option. You’ll need to find someone in your area whose schedule is compatible with your own. Whether you choose online guitar courses or a more tailored experience, learning guitar is a rewarding and enjoyable pursuit. Remember to take pride in your accomplishments and have fun. The best way to learn guitar depends on your goals and what will best help you to achieve them. Good luck! Interested in Private Lessons? Jumpstarting Your Music Career 5 Tips Nobody Talks About

Jumpstarting Your Music Career 5 Tips Nobody Talks About Suzy S. If youre one of the many with dreams of scoring a record deal, embarking on a world tour, or gracing the Broadway stage or maybe even the big screen, youve probably received a wealth of advice from teachers and mentors. You know the importance of working hard, practicing a ton, acing your auditions and networking. But theres actually much more to it. When it comes to making it in the entertainment field and getting the opportunity to do what you love, the path to success can be filled with frustration and unpredictable outcomes. So how do you survive the ups and downs? New York, NY teacher Natalie W. recently gave us her 5 tips for survival that arent always mentioned in the career guidebooks. Here are her words of wisdom, coming from years of experience as a professional opera singer: 1) Dont go to school for the performing arts.   No one truly cares where (or whether) you went to school; they just want to see what you can do.   You will get far better training studying privately with teachers and coaches and designing your own curriculum than you will get in pretty much any program.   With few exceptions, the best teachers dont teach in universities, because they can make far more money teaching privately in a city like New York. 2) Do go to school and study something that interests you.   Study philosophy, psychology, art history, political science, biology, whatever.   Broaden your world.   Make yourself a more complex, well-rounded person.   This will serve you as an artist, and help prepare you for my next piece of advice: 3) Prepare for a parallel career.   I was always told I would need a fall-back career, something to do if I didnt make it.   Well, of course, I was going to make it, so I didnt need one.   In fact, I didnt want a fall-back career, because then I knew I would end up falling back on it.   If I gave myself no option except to make it, then Id have to make it right?   (wrong)   Heres the reality: except for the most miniscule percentage of people, even highly successful performers those who have had national tours, performed on Broadway or at the Met, have made blockbuster movies or been on Law Order have times when they are not making money as performers.   Even if you make it, you will have to support yourself by other means at times.   If you dont want to spend the largest chunks of your life temping or waiting tables, figure out something you would like to do that allows you some flexibility for your artistic pursuits and train yourself for that.   I have found that for myself wit h my teaching the only reason Im glad I have a Masters degree in voice performance (even though nothing of what I learned in grad school gets passed on to my students). 4) Make time for friends and family.   It is so easy to say I cant, I have rehearsal (my mom actually bought me a t-shirt with this on it once, and I wore it with pride), and then wake up years later when your career is stalled to realize you have no friends and your marriage is on the rocks.   There is no one audition, no one show, no one opportunity that will be the deciding factor in your career.   You cant always sacrifice your career dreams for your friends and family, but you also cant always sacrifice your friends and family for your career dreams.   In the end, your relationships are what sustain you, what nourish you, what make you a whole person, and are what you can count on when the dream eludes you.   Besides, who are you going to thank when you win your Tony? 5) Lastly, if there is anything else in life that will make you happy, do that.   It is rare that the moments of joy outnumber the moments of pain and frustration in this business, so it is only worth doing if you are miserable not doing it. Natalie W. teaches piano, singing, Broadway singing, music performance, music theory, opera voice, and acting lessons to students of all ages in New York, NY. She joined the TakeLessons team in October 2012, with over 20   years of teaching experience. Find out more about Natalie, or visit TakeLessons to search for a teacher near you! Photo by Emz.watson

Seven reasons why smart software is becoming a must have for tutors

Seven reasons why smart software is becoming a ‘must have’ for tutors The one-to-one model of private tutoring has worked well for years, and as we all know, the tutor ‘industry’ is booming. The secret’s out: tutors play a vital role in driving their students’ success. But is it ever possible to offer the ‘perfect’ service? There’s almost an unlimited amount of preparation you could do, and a sea of resources out there that you could wade through. Worst of all, when it gets to Easter, it’s almost impossible to balance workload and quality… if you've ever planned a session on the tube on the way to your tutee’s house, you’re definitely not alone!! At Create a Test, we had previously built assessment software targeted at maths teachers in secondary schools. This software lets a teacher create very targeted, professional assessment papers in minutes, tracks each student’s performance, and lets users create tailored assessments for students in seconds. We’ve had a lot of early success, and are endorsed by the Manchester Grammar School and Mossbourne Community Academy, amongst others. But the really interesting thing was this: several of our users were also tutors, and they kept telling us how useful Create a Test was for their tutoring. So we asked ourselves: why shouldn't tutors get access to software like this? How would software like this help tutors (aka, you!)? We've had several tutors adopt Create a Test already, and the friendly folk at Tutorfair have also given us plenty of their time. Here are seven of the biggest benefits people get from using software like ours, which provide good food for thought: Incredibly easy to build between-session and in-session question papers, targeted any way you want: This is at the core of what we do. Create a Test contains a bank of 1000’s of questions searchable by difficulty level and subject sub-topic. Even better, you can regenerate questions to refresh the numbers used, meaning you can have an endless supply of questions. Great brainstorming tool: Unsure if your tutee really ‘gets’ what you’ve run through on averages… but know they love cricket and want to make things engaging? Simply scroll through our highly filterable bank of questions in seconds, grab bits you like, then change a boring looking data series into a question on batting averages!   Be “exam-board-proof”: All our questions can be filtered by exam board and are maintained to the latest curriculum. You can be sure you don’t get that awkward and deflating moment when your tutee can’t answer a question that they’ve never been taught how to do. One-click personalised tests: Picture the scene â€" there’s a minute of the session left, you’ve got to shoot across town to your next tutee then the mum comes in and asks if you could set homework. Create a Test really comes into its own here â€" we can track every score every student gets on every question, and have built one-click functionality that can, for example, generate a test based on the last 20 questions that your tutee answered incorrectly. It’s ready by the time you’ve finished answering “No problem” to the mum! Professional look and feel boosts your standing with your tutee and their parents: Each paper is professionally assembled with an exam-style front cover, and formula sheets can be included. Best of all, you can tailor the paper name â€" tutees love seeing their name on the front page! Access anywhere, no need to update: Access Create a Test from any web browser â€" if your tutee has access to a computer, no need to bring anything with you or rely on them having textbooks. Also, all of your students’ scores and papers are saved remotely, so you have no need to worry about archiving and losing your work or tutees’ scores. Best of all, updates will be ready for you as soon as you log on â€" no need to download anything! Track and show your student’s progress: Create a Test tracks every student’s performance and lets you see, for every sub-topic of the syllabus, their strengths and weakness. We’re also developing some pretty cool charting output, which you’ll have access to as soon as it’s released. Pretty soon, you’ll be able to use our analytics to show as many charts, line graphs and tables as are needed to pacify those super-keen parents! When you get used to these benefits, it’s hard to go back. But here’s the really interesting question â€" as other tutors start using software like this as a part of their daily routine, can you really afford not to? ---- Create a Test provide software for Maths tutors with students at the KS3/GCSE level, across all UK syllabuses and the iGCSE. While a license normally costs £250 per annum for schools and £150 per annum for tutors, we’re really happy to say that Tutorfair Maths tutors get a 20% discount: a full-year, unlimited use license costs £120. What’s more, for every Tutorfair purchase, £15 will go to the Tutorfair foundation. Not bad for something that saves you time and keeps you ahead of the game! Visit www.createatest.co.uk and use discount code “tutorfair”. Contact me at phil.craig@createatest.co.uk, and follow us on Twitter (@createatest) for free assessment papers and more!

New Yoga Pants Might Change The College Experience

New Yoga Pants Might Change The College Experience Photo Via: https://tribcw33.files.wordpress.com The yoga pant craze hit college campuses hard and, nowadays it isn’t uncommon to see hundreds of females sporting the loungewear on and around campus. The reason? Not because they’re yoga enthusiasts (usually), but rather that the pants are a comfy alternative to jeans, and give off a classier look than the traditional sweat pant. Its fashionable, comfortable and gives the illusion that you like to work out its really the perfect product. Still, you can almost bet that if you stopped a female to ask her about a yoga pose, she’d have absolutely no clue how to do it. In comes the Australian company, Wearable Experiments. The company has developed a yoga pant, called the Nadi Smart Fitness Pants, that will actually vibrate when the user correctly holds a yoga pose. Or rather, the pants will create a soothing, “om” vibration sound, meant to keep the peace in the art of yoga. The “sound” is created through synchronized pulsing. When a user is incorrectly posing, the pants will vibrate (in a non-soothing manner) to alert the user so that they can correct it. While these pants are the butt of many jokes, they are also a fun, innovative way to teach yoga without requiring users to attend a costly or embarrassing class. Also, the pants can be worn simply as a fashion item if users so choose, as the vibration is a setting that can be turned on or off through a mobile app. So just because you’re done working out does not mean you have to change the lazy college student’s paradise. But now for the downsides, and there are a few of them. For one thing, the technology only recognizes four, very well known, yoga poses (Warrior One, Two, Three and Pigeon). However, while these are rather popular, through the company’s research, they’ve also found these are the four poses typically done incorrectly. Another downside is that the pants can only be washed up to 25 times, something not exactly ideal for the avid workout. Yoga teachers that have reacted to the new technology fear that the pants won’t have the same teachable quality that a real-life yoga teacher would a legitimate concern. Yoga is largely variable depending on injuries, posture etc., so not every person will be able to achieve the same pose exactly. Also, there’s the fact that many aren’t sure the technology will even work the location of the censors (only on the legs), doesn’t account for the upper body, which is also critical in achieving correct yoga poses. Even so, there are other yoga enthusiasts that can’t wait to see the product’s capabilities, as it’s a new, unique idea that, at the very least, has sparked enough interest to become major news. The peaceful means of exercise and meditation now has new opportunity for users to practice in solitude, something that some will find unhelpful while others will find the new technology very useful. At the very least, yoga might just gain a few followers that either want to learn or are just curious as to what the new technology is capable of. But still, with the rising interest in yoga, the pants do make sense on many levels, and while it’s hard to say whether the product will fall flat or completely take off, the idea is bound to spark some more in the near future, for better or worse. In the growing age of female-oriented fitness technology, with devices such as the Bellabeat Leaf, for example, this is wearable technology that’s truly fascinating, and at the very least, it’ll be interesting to see where it leads us. The product isn’t yet available, but it’s something to keep your eye out for (and joke about with your friends) for the next few months.

What to Order In from Delivery in These 4 Situations

What to Order In from Delivery in These 4 Situations Image via. https://pixabay.com/photos/food-japanese-asian-bowl-dish-eat-715542/ Finals Week Food Delivery You probably just cringed while reading the two words “finals week;” I know I did. When people are eating during finals, they tend to go one of two ways: (1) they forget to eat and end up not eating enough throughout the day/week, or (2) they eat constantly throughout studying without ever actually feeling satisfied. On college campuses, many local restaurants also provide delivery deals and food deals so that delivery is not as expensive as it normally would be. However, if you split up the delivery fee and food price between multiple people, the price goes down substantially. If you want some sense of normalcy during finals week, plan out your food deliveries to your 12-hour days at the library. Let’s start with lunch delivery. I know a pizza sounds delicious, but if you have hours of studying ahead of you, I would opt for something that won’t make you feel as sluggish. For lunch, order either a salad, a smoothie bowl, a grain bowl, a sandwich, etc. Make sure that whatever you decide on you get some form of protein in it so that you feel full and aren’t tempted to make another delivery order an hour later. In your lunch order, make sure you get some extra items to snack on if you get, in the words of Jack Peralta in Brooklyn 99, “snackie.” When getting snacks delivered, I would go for the classics: potato chips, pita chips, granola bars, etc. However, depending on where you’re ordering from, the restaurant may have some specialty items that are great for snacking as well. One of my favorite finals snacks that I would get delivered along with my lunch was a yogurt parfait and a vegan banana bread that tasted so delicious I always wished that I ordered more than one piece. Snacks, in my opinion, aren’t always used to satiate hunger, rather, I used them to help me focus while going over a long study guide. Finally, dinner. Dinner is so important and, since you remained relatively healthy during the stay, allow yourself to splurge and treat yourself a bit. Depending on where you’re located, options might be different, but most places have a restaurant that delivers pizza and pasta. Finals week is essentially a marathon; and what do marathoners do before a big race? They carbo-load. Therefore, you need to carbo-load during dinner to have the energy to make it across the finish line. Image via. https://pixabay.com/photos/ice-ice-cream-ice-cream-flavors-1601932/ Break Up Food Delivery Whether you were broken up with, you did the breaking up, or the end of the relationship was mutual, a big part of your life has changed. This big change calls for some special food delivery. The hardest part of any breakup is getting adjusted to this new normal of not having this person in your life anymore. However, you need to let yourself grieve before getting back to a sense of normalcy, so let’s start with food delivery for that. I’m not trying to sound like a cliché, but ice-cream, popcorn, and pizza are essential, especially if your closest friends are sitting by your side helping you get through this tumultuous time. If you need to switch things up, Chinese food is also a FANTASTIC option; nothing like some fried rice and dumplings to get you through the harsh beginning of a breakup. Now that the hardest few days/weeks are over, it’s time to get back into routine and start taking care of your current number one priority: you. I’m not saying to get on any sort of health kick, unless you want to, I’m just saying to go back to some sort of regular eating schedule and eating practices that you considered regular pre-breakup. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks in-between are essential to getting back into a routine. Let’s start with breakfast. If you still aren’t up to cooking, order in yourself a bagel with a side of fruit, or oatmeal, or a smoothie bowl (my mouth is watering as I write this). Eggs don’t deliver well, so avoid getting omelets or a BEC sandwich. As the saying goes, breakfast is the most important meal of the day! Infographic by Amanda Cohen Lunch is important as well, and it’s important to surround yourself with good people during lunch to give you a boost during the day. So, what should you and your friends order while watching Netflix and chatting? Mediterranean food is always the answer. Chicken and beef skewer platters, rice, grilled vegetables, some hummus, baba ghanoush, and tzatziki, and some pita bread. This also works for dinner, but I suggest doing this for lunch because filling up your day prevents you from holing up in your room looking through old photos and making yourself sadder than you already are. Now that you are already conquering your breakup in the best way possible, its time for, “Winner, winner, chicken dinner.” You don’t actually have to have chicken for dinner, but definitely have something tasty and substantial. I have one word for you: sushi. Not only is sushi delicious, but it classes up your delivery experience. In addition, if you’re anything like me, you always want something sweet after having sushi, so you can use up the rest of your ben Jerry’s pint if Phish Food after going ham on your spicy tuna rolls and miso soup. Plus, if you order edamame, you will feel like the epitome of health, which is fantastic. Let’s start with dinner. You can handle dinner one of two ways; you can either order in from one place and get a variety of dishes from there, or you can create a Smorgasbord of sorts and order from a variety of places. If you want to order from one place only, I suggest either Chinese, pizza, or Mediterranean. Chinese food is always large in portions, so you can order a variety of dishes and each have a little bit of everything (my personal favorite is sesame chicken, but you do you). Pizza is pretty straight forward, I would order multiple types of pizza pies, some salad, and a few pastas; don’t worry about over-ordering because pizza and pasta make for great leftovers. Finally, Mediterranean is great because you can usually get large platters from restaurants that have a variety of meats, vegetables, dips, and more! What to do for dessert? Here are some options. First, Get McDonald’s McFlurries delivered; they are already individually packed and they are excellent; definitely a fun splurge for a girl’s night. I prefer the Oreo McFlurry, but if you and your friends have differing opinions, no need to worry because everyone has a chance to order their flavor of choice! Another fun thing to order for dessert is a variety of cookies. Most places have an Insomnia Cookie or something along those same lines, and they usually deliver until very late hours of the night (and even into the morning). Order a dozen (or more) cookies, some ice-cream and either make some ice-cream sandwiches, which would be a fun girls night in activity, or you can just get the cookies and dunk them in some milk and re-create the Oreo commercials if you want. The world is truly your oyster! During this busy time, cooking and grocery shopping are the last things on your mind, so you have to take advantage of delivery. Since you’re so busy, you are going to want every meal to be quick, easy, and tasty. To avoid tons of delivery charges, place one order at lunch and order extra so that you have food already in your fridge for dinner. Since you are going to order ahead of time, you need to order food that saves well and has a longer shelf-life, so to speak. If you plan on doing a lot of partying, it is important to nourish your body with carbs and protein. Italian food is the easiest food to order that saves well and will fill you up. Italian food is so much more than pizza: order a few pasta dishes, some salad, maybe a chicken parmesan dish, and so on. You will feel full and have lunch and dinner for the next few days. The beauty of Italian food is that it also helps to ensure that you get in all your food groups because it’s both meat, carb, and vegetable based food. You have good food to keep you going, both physically and mentally, which is all you can really ask for during syllabus week. If you are planning on doing multiple deliveries, you could order in some Thai food or sushi to switch things up. However, don’t place any orders until you talk to your friends because maybe you will go for a big group order where the options are limitless. Your group orders can follow the guidelines of the girls night in order talked about above. You probably won’t need to worry about breakfast because you’re a college student and will rely mostly on easy-to-cook items and power bars. Now that you have all the food you can order for a variety of scenarios, here are the apps to download to ensure that you have access to the largest and most diverse restaurants you can think of: Door Dash Grubhub Seamless Caviar UberEATS Take Out Taxi Yelp Postmates Instacart Delivery.com Foodler GoPuff Now that you have all of the tools, let me tell you my personal opinion about what type of cuisines deliver the best and taste just as good when they are delivered as they do when you sit down at the restaurant: Chinese food Thai food Italian food Mediterranean food (with the exception of cooked fish) American food (with the exception of steak) Health food (i.e. salads and grain bowls) Other foods deliver well, but are not nearly as tasty as they are if you were to eat them sitting down at the restaurant, so this is just something to keep in mind. I hope this has helped you and can help you achieve all of your delivery dreams and desires. These suggestions are especially useful in the winter where leaving your apartment/house/dorm room is treacherous because of the frigid weather. If you are worried about spending too much money on delivery, make sure you sign up for e-mails from the various apps on your phone. I know the constant flood of messages may be annoying, but these apps often offer promotions, opportunities for free delivery, and they will send you lists of restaurants that are having the best deals on food. If you are a college student, these deals should appeal to you and you should be okay with the extra volume of e-mails trickling into your inbox. So, don’t stress when life hits you in ways that you couldn’t even imagine, because you now have one less thing to worry about: what you’re going to eat during those times where there are high levels of uncertainty.
